Colorado Public School Performance
The state of Colorado's website SchoolView.org provides Colorado Student Assessment Program (CSAP) results (2008 to 2011), Transistional Colorado Assessment Program (TCAP) results (2012-2014), and Colorado Measures of Academic Success (PARCC and CMAS) results (2015-present). The site also provides access to data related to the Colorado Growth Model, school and district performance frameworks, improvement plans, and other resources.
Assessment results allow parents to review and compare point-in-time performance on assessments in various subjects by school or school district. These results are usually presented as percentages of children falling into various categories of proficiency in each subject. The data are also available by grade level.
Results calculated using the Colorado Growth Model allow parents to view academic growth within schools and districts over time. These data are usually presented as Median Growth Percentiles (MGP), which are a reflection of how students have grown relative to other students with similar test score histories. School and district performance frameworks combine assessment results and growth data to assign different overall ratings to schools and districts.
ColoradoSchoolGrades.com combines the same calculations used in school performance frameworks with more rigorous rating categories to assign a letter grade for each school. This system provides a user-friendly search for schools by school name, district, address, zip code, or city.
Note: Although assessment results will be available for tests taken in the 2014-15 school year, school and district performance frameworks will not. The availability of growth data will also be limited due to a shift in the assessments utilized.
